Step By Step Guide
Step 1: Assemble the Bite
Step 2: Configure the Articulator for Mounting
Remove the top member of the articulator pin stopper and the pin stopper screw from the articulator.
Step 3: Diagnose Mounting
Each articulator has a different distance between the lower mounting plate and the condyle. The Baseline (Z) and Midline (Y) measurements, along with the specific brand of articulator being used, will determine whether the long core or short core is needed for mounting the case. Refer to the chart to identify whether the long or short core is required.
Additionally, the distance between the front pin and the condyle varies across articulators. The Baseline (Z) and Midline (Y) measurements, combined with the articulator brand, will indicate whether the short core should be flipped vertically or horizontally for proper mounting.

Step 4: Assemble the OneBite Evolution System
Place the core onto the articulator plate, aligning it with the raised markers at the 0 position. Position one side of the core at 0, then lower the other side for easier placement. Attach the magnetic articulator plate with the core set to 0 and secure the OneBite Evolution slider onto the articulator. Next, place the magnetic disposable mounting plate onto the core.
For the short core, align the raised markers on the core with those on the articulator plate at 0 degrees. Use a small tool on top to guide it into position. If any adjustments to the short core are needed, insert a small tool into the top to release it and make the necessary changes.
Tighten the slider by securing it with the articulator’s pin stop screw. For Kavo or Artex articulators, use the provided OneBite screw included in the kit, which is designed specifically for these articulators. The specific plate and slider will vary depending on the brand of articulator. Finally, attach the midline bar, horizontal bar, and baseline to the cube.
Step 5: Adjust to the Baseline & Midline Values
Once all the parts are attached, slide the midline bar to the specified midline (Y) value provided by the doctor. Ensure the number is positioned on top of the baseline as indicated, and tighten the trinity screw securely.
Next, slide the rubber band on the baseline to the baseline (Z) value provided by the doctor to mark the corresponding number.
Step 6: Align the OneBite Evolution System to the Condyle
Align the baseline with the condyle by loosening the front screw of the slider and adjusting the midline up or down. If the transfer plate is slightly touching the arch, move the core backward on the articulator plate to create more space. Ensure there is sufficient surface area to secure the record with the bite material.
Align the baseline measurement (Z) value, as provided by the doctor, to the center of the condyle. Adjust the slider by moving the articulator pin stopper screw, allowing the entire system to align the Z value with the condyle.
Once the record is in the correct position, verify that the doctor's provided values are correctly aligned. Ensure the baseline (Z) value is centered on the condyle and the midline value (Y), located on top of the baseline, is properly locked in place.
Step 7: Secure the Record
Apply fast setting bite material between the disposable occlusal plate and the occlusal arch, ensuring application on both the back and front for complete security.
Step 8: Remove the System
Remove the nut from the cube and use the slider to slide out all components, leaving the cube in place. Next, remove the arch and cube from the occlusal plate. Ensure the pin stopper screw is loosened and the cube nut holding the bars is removed before detaching the apparatus from the cube.
Step: 9: Mount the Models
Place the upper model in the bite of the occlusal plate and mount to the upper member of the articulator. Remove the remaining components and mount the lower, the case is now articulated in the true position of the maxillary arch using the OneBite Evolution System analog protocol.
