Securing the Cube Record
To securely lock the record, hold the cube from the bottom with one hand and gently apply pressure to the right. With the other hand, twist the ring with the security screw to the left. This method makes it easier to secure the record without shifting the information during tightening.
Micro Adjustments
Tighten the ring just enough so that micro adjustments can be made while ensuring the system remains stable before placing it in the patient's mouth. This allows for fine-tuning once the system is in place, without risking it slipping or needing to adjust the ring tightness while on the patient.
Photography References
For enhanced accuracy, take a photograph of the system in the patient’s mouth, ensuring it is aligned with the baseline. Then, import the image into Keynote or a similar program to create guides or rulers, allowing verification of proper alignment and confirming the head position is at 0 degrees.
Capturing the Baseline
When capturing the baseline with the system, it's recommended to have an assistant guide you into the correct position. This allows the doctor to focus on the spacing between the bars, the patient's head, and the facial midline while ensuring proper alignment of the baseline.
