Digital Mounting Adapter
Step By Step Guide
In the digital portal, select the mounting adapter conversion option and specify the preferred turnaround time.
In the Portal, the following information will need to be entered to continue.
Step 3: Upload the Patient Files
For cross mounted cases, select the cross mounting conversion option and submit the additional files.

Step 4: Print the Models
When printing the models, there’s no need to manually add supports, as you will receive them from the team ready to print. If your printer indicates otherwise, try a test print with the provided support before adding custom supports.
Important Notes:
If the test print does not work correctly with your printer, and supports are needed, avoid placing them on the bottom pattern, as this could distort the connection. Supports can be placed in the small figure-eight design in the center if necessary, but it is recommended to first perform a test print using the provided support plate without any extra supports before making adjustments.
Step 5: Prepare Models
The supports on the bottom of each model can be easily removed by firmly holding the model and snapping the support plate away.
Each model will have a riser number printed on the bottom. This will correlate how many risers you will add to the corresponding upper or lower adapter.
Place the upper and lower adapters on the articulator plates. Align the raised steel base lines to the raised plate lines at 0. Also, check that the front of the adapter base is flush with the edge of the articulator plate.
If the models show a number next to “plate”, you will align the raised line on the steel base of the adapters back or forward to the articulator plate measurement.
Example: If the models show Print: -10mm you will place both the lower and upper adapters
aligned with the -10mm marking on the adapter plates. You can do this by positioning the raised lines from the adapter steel base to the number on the articulator plates.
On the bottom of each arch, the required number of risers for both the upper and lower arches is indicated. The text will display as "Riser: (Amount of risers)," specifying the number needed for each arch.
For example, if the upper arch indicates "Riser: 5mm" and the lower arch indicates "Riser: 10mm," the lower adapter will need a 10mm riser, and the upper adapter will require a 5mm riser.
Attach the designated number of risers to the corresponding adapters by aligning the pins with the holes in the risers, following the markings on the bottom of each arch.
To attach the models to the adapters, align the pattern of the printed models with the pins and pattern on the adapter. Once aligned, secure the models using the screws. Typically, the long screw is used for the lower adapter and the short screw for the upper adapter. However, if the upper adapter requires a 15mm riser, use the long screw for the upper adapter and the short screw for the lower.
If the models do not fully close due to the screws making contact, switch to the smaller dent screws provided in the kit.
Important Note:
If the lower and upper adapters need to be switched (placing the lower on the upper member of the articulator and the upper on the lower), this will be indicated by the team when the files are sent, or the bottom of the arches will be labeled with either a “U-” and an “L-” before the riser text. The amount of risers will remain true for the corresponding arch.
Step 9: Mount the Models
Position the lower model onto the lower member of the articulator using the magnetic articulator plate. Repeat this process for the upper member. The case is now articulated in the precise maxillary arch position, as captured by the digital OneBite Evolution record.
For wax ups or cases requiring crossmounting, all that is needed is to remove the cross-mounted arch and magnetically insert the other in its place.
